Multi Warehouse Item Panel

If your Micronet ECOM website is configured for multiple warehouses, the item details panel displays the item image, item number and description, price, and the quantity of the item available in each warehouse.

Customers can choose which warehouse their order comes from. If the same item is ordered from multiple warehouses (e.g. when there is not enough stock in one warehouse to fulfil the entire order), Micronet will split the order into separate orders – one for each warehouse.

 

Technical Tip

  • The way in which the available stock quantity is displayed is configurable – see "Stock on Hand Display Options".
  • Micronet staff can configure the panel to display the item image below the warehouse details if required.
  • The Show Alternates button can be displayed on any item details panel configuration, as well as on the product list in both List View and Grid View. This allows users to see whether alternate items are available.
  • Micronet staff can also configure this panel so that it shows price breaks for non-FIFO items when the company is configured to display the Serial Number Quantities item details panel for FIFO items – see "Serial Number Quantities Item Panel".
  • In addition, Micronet staff can configure this panel to show price breaks without needing to show the Serial Number Quantities item details panel for FIFO items.
  • A recommended retail price can be displayed if configured by Micronet.

  • Finally, Micronet staff can configure this panel to display Upcoming Shipments. If a user enters a quantity of a product and there is no stock available, or the quantity entered is greater than the quantity available, Micronet displays the date of each upcoming shipment (purchase order) until the quantity entered can be fulfilled.
